Haven of Hope Ministries is responsible to its parent organization, The Salvation Army, for both its church activities and social programs.
Haven of Hope is part of The Salvation Army’s Prairie Division, one of nine divisions in the Canada and Bermuda Territory which, in turn, reports to the Army’s International Headquarters in London, England.
The Salvation Army’s quasi-military style of governance provides an effective structure to address ongoing social needs in communities as well as emergencies and crises worldwide. This structure also provides an important vehicle for ensuring consistent beliefs and practices throughout the organization.
In addition to the direct administrative, operational and spiritual oversight provided by The Salvation Army, Haven of Hope maintains an advisory Board of appointed church members and staff. This Board meets regularly to consider and advise on church and community ministry matters.
