Since our establishment, our unwavering mission has been to provide hope, dignity, and support to individuals facing various challenges, empowering them to overcome adversity and build a brighter future.

Our History:

The Salvation Army has been a beacon of hope and compassion in Regina for over 125 years. Our current location on 13th Ave, previously served as the headquarters for the then Saskatchewan Division. After the amalgamation of divisions and headquarters being stationed in Winnipeg, the building was renamed Haven of Hope Ministry Centre and serves as the local Salvation Army Church and Community Services.

How we help:

At Haven of Hope, we offer a comprehensive range of services and programs designed to address the diverse needs of our community. Whether it’s providing a warm meal to the hungry, a safe place to seek comfort, or guidance for those seeking a path of hope, our doors are open to all who require assistance. Some of our core services include:

1. Food Assistance: We offer various meal programs in an effort to combat food insecurity. Programs such as
– Food on The Move that offers bagged lunches to kids around Regina
– Lunch with Sally; a free lunch every Thursday
– Free bread during the weekdays (while quantities last)
– Foodbank in partnership with the Regina Foodbank
– Sally Shop; a variety of food, personal hygiene and household supplies offered in small, affordable amounts.

2. Recovery Programs: Celebrate Recovery is A Christ-centered 12-step program for healing hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Embrace recovery principles, find hope, and experience transformation through worship, teachings, and supportive small groups. Open to all, it offers accountability, love, and a path to lasting change.

3. Financial Support: The Salvation Army’s Trustee Program offers a helping hand to individuals facing financial hardships. Participants voluntarily assign their income to the organization, which manages essential expenses like rent and utilities, ensuring basic needs are met. It’s a supportive step towards financial stability and a brighter future.

4. Brighter Future: The Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program empowers families facing intergenerational poverty. Through personalized support and community partnerships, families develop action plans to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Breaking the cycle of poverty, it offers a transformative journey towards a brighter future.

5. Good for the Soul: Java & Jesus is a heartwarming gathering where coffee, sweets, and fellowship blend harmoniously. Individuals come together for a delightful time of connection and community, as we share stories, laughter, and the love of Jesus. It’s a moment to cherish and savor the goodness of life together.

6. Church Services: Every Sunday Morning at 10:30am everyone is invited join us in worship and fellowship as we celebrate the love of God through music, prayer, and inspiring messages. Open to all, our welcoming community embraces the core values of faith, hope, and compassion. Come as you are and find renewal in His grace.
