Land Acknowledgement

The Salvation Army in Regina is located on the traditional territories of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the Métis Nation. This area is acknowledged by treaties such as Treaty 4, signed in 1874, which encompasses the land where we gather. We recognize the historical and ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples to this region and honour the guiding principle of the Treaty, which is to share and care for the land together. We value and respect the significant historical and contemporary contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples and are committed to the principles outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.
