In a world where abundance and need coexist, it’s crucial to extend a helping hand to those who are facing the harsh reality of food insecurity. At The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to addressing this issue through our Mobile Outreach Program. We believe that everyone deserves access to a hearty meal, regardless of their circumstances.

What is the Mobile Outreach Program?

Our Mobile Outreach Program is a beacon of hope for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, addiction, and food insecurity in our community. Through this initiative, we aim to provide hot meals to those who need it most. Our dedicated volunteers hit the streets, delivering hot, nourishing meals directly to those in need every Saturday night.
Through the use of our Emergency Disaster Services community response unit (a mobile food canteen truck), we can serve up to 100 meals an hour.

Why partner with us? Partnering with our Mobile Outreach Program is an opportunity to be part of a meaningful and impactful initiative.
If you are a restaurant, consider donating meals to our program. By doing so, you can make a real difference in the lives of approximately 150 individuals in need with each contribution. Your support will provide more than just a meal; it will offer hope, dignity, and a sense of community to those who may feel marginalized or forgotten. 
Not a restaurant, but love to cook? Volunteer in our kitchen and be apart of a team that prepares the meal to be distributed. 
Don’t want to cook, but still want to sponsor a meal? Make a financial contribution to purchase the food and let us do the cooking for you! 

How Can You Get Involved?

Getting involved is easy!
If you own or manage a restaurant, consider donating meals to our Mobile Outreach Program. You can choose to make a one time donation, or make it a regular occurrence by sponsoring a meal on a regular basis. The options are endless, and we aren’t picky on how often you choose to help. Weekly? Wonderful! Monthly? Awesome! Every six months? Fantastic! Once a year? Absolutely!  While I’m sure you don’t do it for the recognition, we would be happy to make sure you get the recognition you deserve by telling everyone who sponsored the meal as well as mentioning it on our Social channels. 
Don’t own or manage a restaurant? That’s ok! We are looking for volunteers to help on the weeks where we don’t have corporate sponsorships. Sign up to be a Meal Prep volunteer!
